Senior Frontend Web Developer - Tilburg

For our Tilburg office we are looking for a creative Senior Frontend Web Developer. You design, build and test new and innovative solutions as a prototype. Following this you are involved in the further development of the new features and in giving advice to fellow developers in regard to the integration of the newly developed features into existing applications.

What do we expect from you?

You are responsible for the creation of the newest versions of websites and services of travel organizations internationally. In certain steps you translate a wish into a solution. You seek and discover new techniques and think of ways to expand and improve the frontend of our customer solutions. You attend code reviews and give code reviews. As a senior you are responsible for quality, without losing track of development speed. You coach your colleagues on the newest web technologies that you know by heart and you happily transfer your knowledge to others.

Professional profile

As senior frontend web developer you are in possession of a bachelor's degree or comparable;
You are well versed in HTML, including capabilities of the emerging HTML5 standard, and can write well-structured and semantically meaningful markup;
You are familiar with augmentative technologies such as microdata and microformats;
You have a thorough understanding of CSS, including emerging capabilities from CSS3 and various vendor-specific implementations thereof;
You can write efficient CSS selectors;
You deliver well-structured stylesheets that properly cascade and avoid problems with selector specificity through patterns such as OOCSS;
You have a thorough understanding of JavaScript and the DOM;
You have experience with object oriented programming as applied to JavaScript;
You can structure code and applications using common patterns such as MVC;
You are familiar with the jQuery and jQuery UI libraries and are capable of writing well-organized, re-usable plug-ins and widgets with and for them;
You are familiar with the concepts of asynchronous programming and have at least passing knowledge of client-server communication;
You are comfortable developing for a wide range of browsers like Internet Explorer (version 6 and up), Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc. and are familiar with their specific oddities;
You are familiar with developing for various target devices; phones, tablets, desktops, etc.

Knowledge of Microsoft products like Team Foundation Server is a plus as is prior knowledge of ASP.NET Web Forms and ASP.NET MVC.

You have a strong personality and can handle stress. You are accurate in work and structure, and you react quickly and flexible to ad-hoc situations. With your pro-active attitude you immediately discuss possible improvements with your project manager.
