Online travel agencies sell products from multiple tour operators. There are few protocol standards in Tourism and even when there are standards not everyone interprets them the same way. This means there is a lot of complexity when integrating multiple tour operators and their APIs.

Solution

TWD Platform provides three easy to use services that allow users to Search, Book and retrieve non-bookable content from tour operators.

These services provide a unified API on top of many different tour operator systems and APIs. The complexity and variations of these APIs are encapsulated in the services, and hidden for its users. For TWD Platform users, integrating with one or many tour operators becomes as simple as sending another tour operator ID.

The services are developed in .NET Core and deployed in Kubernetes. An API Gateway, Ambassador, is also deployed inside Kubernetes to handle security and gives insight into usage metrics.
